School Development

 

Silva Psychology delivers ongoing consultation by contributing to a school team’s discussions and plans to drive forward whole school development work. Examples of EP involvement in staff training or whole school development projects include: 

  • Supporting schools in reviewing their behaviour policy, SEN policy or other learning & assessment policies.
  • Developing the use of a nurture room
  • Contributing to a schools’ plan to improve the ways in which they listen to and incorporate pupil views into the everyday working of the school
  • Working alongside year group leaders to reduce bullying incidents in that year and formulate appropriate school based interventions e.g. support for the victims of bullying and their families.
  • Working with school staff, parents and where appropriate other agencies to create and evaluate intervention programmes for individuals and groups of individuals.
  • Workshops or Staff Training e.g. Developing language skills; Understanding triggers to anger & strategies to manage it.
  • Identification of special educational needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
